Polypropylene fiber Ignis
Polypropylene fiber Ignis
Fire resistance of concrete structures
Over the last two decades IGNIS has been used in many tunnels, primarily to provide passive fire resistance to the concrete structure, whether this is a segmental tunnel lining, sprayed or cast in-situ concrete. This product has been proven to eliminate explosive spalling in concrete exposed to fire at such test facilities as TNO, Holland and the BRE, England.
Explosive spalling occurs when moisture in a concrete structure is superheated and turns to steam. Pressure builds up inside the concrete and results in an explosive failure of the exposed face. The IGNIS fibres will start to melt when the heat generated is approximately 160°C. When the temperature reaches 360°C the fibres vaporise to leave millions of capillaries in the concrete which allow the steam to escape.

Design service tailored to specific project
We offer a comprehensive free design service tailored to your specific project. The Adfil team will work closely with you to supply the required calculations and technical specifications. We will produce a detailed commercial proposal that sets out the benefits of synthetic fibres as your concrete reinforcement solution.
If you have a construction project you would like advice on, our innovative design service will provide a solution which will be cost-effective and reduce construction time. If required, this service can be provided with Professional Indemnity. Additionally, we can also offer a full design and warranty package.
Ignis usage
Ignis microfibre is packaged in self-soluble bags of 1kg, making it easy to dose according to the amount per cubic metre of concrete in the project. Once the polypropylene fibre has been added to the concrete, the drum must be rotated a minimum of 70 times to ensure that the fibre is distributed properly throughout the concrete. Packaging may vary if required.

Metalo sandėlys. Pirminiame projekte buvo numatytas betono armavimas armatūros tinklais. Adfil inžinieriai pakeitė projektą ir vietoje armatūros tinklų panaudojo 4kg/m³ DURUS S300. Grindų įrengimo laikas sutrumpėjo 5 dienomis.
Atliekų perdirbimo gamyklose dangą veikia agresyvi aplinka, todėl naudojama polipropileno fibra, kuri nėra įtakojama aplinkos veiksnių. Taip pat gerokai sutrumpinamas grindų įrengimo laikas. Naudota polipropileno fibra DURUS S400 kartu su Fibrin X/T mikropluoštu.
Privalumai
- Padidinamas paviršiaus atsparumas dėvėjimuisi.
- Padidinamas atsparumas deformacijoms.
